Celebrating a Brand New Season

Springtime is my favorite time of year!

I enjoy seeing all of the trees and fields welcome back warmth, life and flourishing with open arms. While winter has its own unique beauty, there’s something life-giving about springtime that breathes hope and promise.

Springtime reminds me that life continues to evolve with new environments, seasons, and passions. I think this springtime is particularly special to me because I’m in the midst of launching several new things including my social impact advisory practice, speaking business, and a new book called “Looking Up” (Coming 2020). 

As some of you are already aware, I transitioned at the end of 2018 out of my position as President of Caterpillar Foundation and Director, Corporate Social Innovation, Caterpillar Inc. For over 30 years, I thoroughly enjoyed working at Caterpillar. The perspective and experience I’ve gained by working with a global leader in business and impact was truly amazing. I will forever be grateful for the opportunities Caterpillar provided me and our family. 

During my last role, I had a front row seat for witnessing some of the most monumental and sustainable change in some of our largest global challenges through partnerships between public, private and non-profit entities. It was truly a beautiful thing to see and participate in as a leader of the Foundation.

Now, in this new season of life, I’m so excited to share what I’ve learned over the years with so many others through my writing, speaking, and advisory work. I look forward to talking candidly about the challenges I had to overcome in life in hopes that it would inspire many others to succeed in the face of their unique challenges.

For those of you who have been with me at any point in this journey (you know who you are!), thank you so much for everything you’ve invested in me. I truly appreciate your friendship and support. I hope that we can continue to help build each other up as the months and years go by. I know that our world is better off because of you and your work!
